Technically this is not a BMW M2 at all. The Latvian HGK Motorsport changed almost everything in this BMW M2, so it’s not really a BMW anymore, although they call it HGK BMW – F22 Eurofighter.
Ok, but what’s new in this drifting machine? Let’s start with the engine. They replaced the original turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine with a LS V8 from GM, which is now modified to develop 820 hp.
Gearbox. A manual gearbox would be an interesting solution, but they choose a five-speed sequential transmission.
The other new main components are: differential, FIA fuel tank, adjustable racing suspension, Willwood brakes, roll cage, wheels and new Kevlar bodywork. Of course, the stock interior is completely gone, but you can find racing seats, racing steering wheel and a new hydraulic handbrake there.
